Liposuction is a method that we refer to in order to reduce the psychological and physical effects of fat accumulation in various parts of our body. We refer to Liposuction to remove regional fat deposits out of body with special apparatus.
Liposuction Surgery
Liposuction Surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 1 to 2 hours. First injection of special solutions is made which aids fat removal. Through small and inconspicuous incisions, we insert special apparatus (cannula) that has tip holes. With the back and forth motion of canula, the fat will loose. The loosen fat is then suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum. Depending on the region, the cannulas are inserted from about 2-3 incisions into the fat deposited area. The incisions are about 3-4 millimeters in diameter, as far as the diameter of the cannula.
Pain After Surgery
There is little pain.
Recovery After Surgery
After the surgery, we will give you the liposuction corset to wear, will be used about 6 weeks. According to the patient’s request, the patient can stay in the hospital for 1 night after the surgery or she/he is discharged. Bruising will occur in the area where the fat is removed and will pass after about 15 days. Use your prescribed anti-bruise creams as directed. There will be a general swelling in the area where we remove fat, it will begin to descend after the first month and it will be completely gone in the 6th month. After the surgery, we walk for half an hour every day for 6 months. We rub-style massage to reduce the swelling of the operation area, for 10 minutes every day for about 2 months.
You will have 3rd and 7th day check-ups after the surgery in doctor’s clinic. After 7th day check-up, you are free to fly.
Scar After Surgery
Where the cannula enters, there will be a faint scar of 3-4 millimetres.

What are the techniques of liposuction?
-
Liposuction is a fat removal surgery that we use to reshape body contours. Nowadays, there are three main techniques. These are Tumescent Liposuction, Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction (UAL) and Laser-Assisted Liposuction (LAL). In these 3 methods, deposited fats are removed from the body with the help of cannula. In the tumescent liposuction fats are fragmented with mechanical effect, in the ultrasound-assisted liposuction fats are fragmented with ultrasonic waves, in the laser-assisted liposuction fats are fragmented with laser beam. In the laser-assisted liposuction, we provide more controlled fat fragmentation while the risk of burns and bruising on the skin is greater. In the ultrasound-assisted liposuction, the recovery of the loose skin is more easy after fat removal. In general, these three methods have similar results after 6 months.

Can I lose weight with liposuction?
Liposuction is not a weight loss surgery and should not be used for this purpose. Liposuction is a contour correction surgery. The most appropriate candidate is those who do not experience a drop in weight in 1 year and who have excess fat in areas such as the abdomen region, hips and thighs region, although they are doing sports.

Does the fat occur again after liposuction?
If you do not pay attention to your diet, the body will store excess calories with a single storage method, as fat deposit. This fat deposits will accumulate not in the regions where surgery is performed, accumulate around those areas. For this reason, after liposuction, we pay attention to our diet.
